Highway Cleanups

Help us clean up hundreds of pounds of local trash!

We sponsor two highway cleanups in LA

Through the CalTrans Adopt-A-Highway Program, we volunteer to clean sections of the California-2 highway in Glendale and the I-405 in West LA

How it works

RSVP now to join a highway cleanup!

What to wear:

  • Sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen

  • Dress in layers because it can start out cold and warm up quickly during the morning

How long:

  • Each highway cleanup event will take about 2 hours

  • After the clean up everyone usually gathers for an optional meal/brunch after

RSVP Required:

  • Attendees must RSVP on Meetup.com to attend (and change RSVP to "no" if they can't make it)

  • If there are fewer than two RSVPs the cleanup must be canceled

Find a local upcoming cleanup:

  • Visit our Meetup.com events page to RSVP for upcoming cleanups

  • Dates vary based on weather and volunteer capacity

What we provide:

  • For safety, we provide reflective vests, hard hats, and gloves

  • For the cleanup, we provide bags and grabbers so you won't have to bend over to pick up trash
